A Perfect Getaway
Since I preferred to go somewhere near Singapore for our honeymoon, my hubby suggested we go to this resort. Though I've never heard of it intially, I give two thumbs up for the resort. Why? Read on to find out!
Sibu Island Resort is located at Sibu Tengah island, east coast of Johor, Malaysia. and comprises of 20 acres in size and surrounded by white sandy beach, clear emerald blue sea, soothing tropical breeze and of course, everyday golden sunrise.
Our day started with a warm welcome by a speed ferry which usually carried 20+ passengers onboard. The catch is that the passengers are only us! Yes!! My hubby, me & of course the ferry driver. It is really a great privacy and we are happy to be given such previlage as first time honeymooners.
Upon reaching, we are welcomed with a big smile and greeted 'Selamat Pengantin Baru' or simply means, may the newly weds be happy and blessed in the new chapter of their lives. Apart from a warm congratulation handshake from the frontdesk, we are also provided with cold welcome drinks to quench our thirst. We are happy even before reaching our suite.
Our suite is known as Serindit Suite. It is located by the hillside overlooking the South China Sea. The breeze is perfect as the suite is protected by tall beach trees in between. There are flights of wooden staircases which link our suite straight right to the beach. The best part is, we have the beach to ourselves! There's no one else using it!! It's the perfect timing as the holidays were ending but we just came in. The rest is history!
